The exhibition Nest for the Soul is based on the twenty-year-long theatre practice, integrating disabled actors and professional actors on one stage in specific theatre groups. This type of theatre is examined by the Research Unit of the Department of Alternative and Puppet Theatre at DAMU in Prague, VZHŮRU NOHAMA/Upside Down Theatre, Jiné jeviště/Different Stage and the Educational Drama Studio for the Deaf at JAMU in Brno. The authors of the exhibition in the Chrudim Puppetry Museum aim to present a compact image of art (theatre) by people with disabilities, to help people associated with otherness integrate them in society and public life. The exhibition features puppets and masks from integrated productions, photos from production, workshops, and integrated productions, as well as videos depicting art cooperation in specific theatre groups at the Research Unit of the Department of Alternative and Puppet Theatre at DAMU as part of the project Research of Art Production in a Specific Integration Group (with People with Disabilities).
