The testimonies were publicly presented on Tuesday 29 June 2021 at 6 p.m. outside the DAMU front door in Karlova Street. The recording of the performance was later made public on the Internet.
On 1 July 2021, the DAMU management, signed by the Dean Karel František Tománek, issued the following statement associated with the activities of the #nemusistovydrzet [youdonthavetoendureit] initiative:
The impulse from the #nemusistovydrzet initiative opens the topic the DAMU management considers extremely serious. Respectable treatment and a non-discriminating healthy climate for all employees and students is a top priority for the DAMU management, which has been in charge since March 2021.
We support the idea of a wide-ranging discussion that would lead to the establishment of the institute of an ombudsman or ethical mediator. We want those who have encountered similar treatment to have clear instructions on what to do without being afraid of the consequences and restrictions.
If the situation – regarding the submitted impulse – requires immediate action, we are ready to deal with the issue with all available means, including cooperation with law enforcement authorities.
