This year’s 28th Czech Dance Platform festival traditionally presented the selection of the most interesting works in Czech dance in the past year. There were more than one hundred professionals, who registered for the festival, most of them were directors of international cultural institutions and festivals, as well as journalists. The international jury consisted of five outstanding international figures, whose thoughts in the discussions once again pushed Czech dance forward

The international jury featuring international experts and the members of the Czech Advisory Council reflects works selected for the main program of the Czech dance platform. The jury decided to award three works that most resonated and expressed the high quality and diversity of Czech dance: Jitka Čechová’s and Tereza Lenerová’s dis pla y, Tereza Ondrová’s and Francesca Foscarini’s Call Alice, and Andrea Miltnerová’s, Monika Knoblochová’s and Jan Komárek’s Celestial Odyssey.

The Czech Center Award for the outstanding figure of the Czech Dance Platform went to Lucia Kašiarová, the author and performer of Multividual. She decided to offer her internship in one of the European cities for a few days to a Ukrainian artist. Anna Cremonini donated her fee for her work in the jury to Ukrainian artists as well; the platform also offered an online discussion about the options for helping Ukrainian artists.
