Go for it Honey!

Featuring three stories about terrible, horrifying and pious acts and a single act of righteousness, Go For It, Honey! takes you from vice to virtue and back again. Broadside ballads, a mini-musical and a folk puppet play are staged by wandering comedians with a puppet theatre for big, wooden marionettes on wagon. Go For It, Honey! is a triptych street performance inspired by statues in the town of Kuks (including “Virtue and Vice”) by Matyáš Bernard Braun.

Part 1: A new song about the terrible acts to which a widow from Jaroměř was driven by poverty, how the people punished her for it and how it all ended up.

In the style of broadside ballads.

Part 2: About a virgin who withstood innumerable temptations, until finally, in old age, she longed to give into vice.

A mini-musical with ballads.

Part 3: The rise and fall of King David: an instructive story about David, celebrated King of the Jews, power and humility.

A folk puppet play.

Go For It, Honey! was created as part of the project “Puppet Statue - Theatre Park”, initiated by Professor Stanislav Bohadlo in collaboration with the festival THEATRUM KUKS.
